Sure. Most users with a multi-core (or threads) CPU have set the MAKEFLAGS 
variable in makepkg.conf to benefit from the parrallel capacity 
of their CPU when building packages.  However, for some packages, it 
doesn't work because it tries to create a library or executable before all 
the needed object files are compiled (in the case of gdesklets, the make 
install was failing). Anyway, in these case, it has to be disabled.

If you don't have a multi-core CPU, you won't have these issues so you 
won't know which package needs it. If so, don't worry about it. The option 
will be added by the dev who will get the problem.
