I am also confused. This might help:

[2010-04-06 21:20] upgraded lib32-e2fsprogs (1.41.10-1 -> 1.41.11-1)
[2010-04-06 21:20] upgraded libart-lgpl (2.3.20-1 -> 2.3.21-1)
[2010-04-06 21:20] upgraded libfetch (2.30-1 -> 2.30-3)

The vercmp trouble was at kernel26 post-install.
