Confirm,

ATI Radeon catalyst driver can't change the resolution it goes always back  
to 1024x768 founds getting ugly.

New Install with the iso Archlinux 2008.10 from testing ISO from tpowa  
Oct. 20th same shit happeneds.

Btw. Desktop KDE 4.1.3
