Thanks to everyone who gave a look at this. Just to narrow it down a bit, it does happen with 1.9.1 branch (Firefox 3.5) and mozilla-central branch only (binaries and local builds) while current Firefox in Arch repo does work properly. Lastly, I'm also running [testing] so that's not what makes the difference.
