Hello,

just heard a problem on #archlinux that gdm was not loading ~/.Xdefaults.
after quick search i found these:

gdm does not read .Xdefaults

$HOME/.Xdefaults no longer being read

man x mentions only .Xdefaults-<hostname>

#xorg said:

time, .Xresources is the current form, but rarely used as most people

man x also sais:
"The default is $HOME/.Xdefaults-<hostname>. Unlike
$HOME/.Xresources, it is consulted each time an X application starts."

if no one has a better note for
