hello,
for me, it kills desktop instantly, not only while fiddling with settings.
Manually disabling compositing in kwinrc helps, "setting
LIBGL_ALWAYS_INDIRECT=1 in ~/.bash_profile" doesn't affect the bug.
I'm using kde on i945.
