Maybe to clear it out a bit..

create an "any" dir in your repodir  so you get:
x86_64,i686,any

Then cd to i686, ln -s ../any/package-1.3-3-any.pk.tar.xz
pacakge-1.3-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
