I think it goes like this:

commit > server (gerolde/sigurd) > mirrors

But according to
https://www.archlinux.de/?page=MirrorStatus;orderby=syncdelay;sort=0
ftp.archlinux.org has a delay of 1.8hr which is the fastest.
