Could it be that you need to run

[rene at ArchLounge ~]$ /etc/rc.d/vboxdrv setup

That's what I do on my machine. I have "virtualbox-sun 3.1.2.56127-3"
installed.

  so I installed ARCH Linux!

- System Setup: AMD64 X2 6400+ with 4GB ram and 1910GB harddrive.
