Heres the output of the following commands in my system:
 $ pacman -Qo "$(which xz)"
error: No package owns /usr/local/bin/xz

$ ldd "$(which xz)"
        linux-vdso.so.1 =>  (0x00007fff6c9ff000)
        liblzma.so.0 => not found
        libpthread.so.0 => /lib/libpthread.so.0 (0x00007f2f0a544000)
        libc.so.6 => /lib/libc.so.6 (0x00007f2f0a1e8000)
        /lib/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 (0x00007f2f0a761000)

$ pacman -Qo /usr/lib/liblzma.so.5
/usr/lib/liblzma.so.5 is owned by xz 5.0.0-1

Can you guys make anything out of this?

Cheers & Happy new year.
