I agree, wrote something similar already before. Btw. some oldish Sony
recorders are at 16 bit and for the sound quality it's more important if
the mixer is a Neve or Behringer ;), than how many bits are used for the
sampling. E.g. http://www2.ak.tu-berlin.de/wwwlogic/Bilder2/24Spur.jpg
16bit AD and 18 bit DA.
