So you got the same errors, relinked depmod and ran pacman -S again, 
right (otherwise you should have gotten the same bugy kernel image like 
me) ?

How did you "relink" depmod in details ? Or: where has the symlink has 
to be placed ? Sounds like it could be the one-command-solution for me 
already. :)
