systemd-notify doesn't print anything. If you really want to print
something:

$ systemd-notify --booted && echo "booted on systemd"

or

$ systemd-notify --booted; echo $?

> --booted
> Returns 0 if the system was booted up with systemd, non-zero otherwise.

Note the "returns", not "prints".
