interesting; didn't know about this AUR package/script and will look 
at it.

nevertheless, doing nothing is safer than doing nonsense. i don't 
know about the level of knowledge or ignorance of this ad-hoc 
sysadmin, but if he can't deal with vim, i'm afraid it's not too 
good.
