Hi all,

I'm failing to find where to do this. The Settings>Notifications
switch does not seem to control notifications--at least under the
Cinnamon desktop environment.

For me, they take up a huge amount of screen real estate, all too
often right where I'm trying to read something. And to be honest, I
don't need them. Mostly they seem to originate from Thunderbird, but
I'm assuming there are other sources as well.

How can one make these go away?

Thanks!
