I am sorry, I should have mentioned this in the original post.

The class will be held in the IRC channel #archlinux-classroom on Freenode.

Yes, the class will be logged and a link to the logs will be posted.

The class is offered at two times to accommodate people on opposite sides 
of the world. Both times will be logged.
