I have a black screen with Xorg 1.18, both with nvidia and intel graphic cards. So I'm using 1.17. However, with 1.17 and an intel graphic card update I'd get a black screen as well. Are you sure xf86-video-intel is not to blame? Maybe you should try to downgrade it. Hope this helps, João Miguel
