[arch-general] Aur git - missing .SRCINFO hook declined to update refs/heads/master - help?

All,

  I was adding a 4th Aur package, so I cloned an empty directory. Added the
files, then

$ makepkg --printsrcinfo > .SRCINFO
$ makepkg -S --sign -f
$ git commit -am "console-blanking-0.0.1-2"

  Then just to make sure .SRCINFO is there

$ git ls-files
.SRCINFO       <== It is...
LICENSE
PKGBUILD
console-blanking-0.0.1-2.src.tar.gz
console-blanking-0.0.1-2.src.tar.gz.sig
console-blanking.service

  But then when I push the file, it fails complaining about missing .SRCINFO,

 $ git push

  It has always gone so smoothly before... What is going wrong?
