I am just shooting from the hip ...but have you specified the
right timezone? If I do
$ echo $TZ
it returns "Europe/Copenhagen", which is right for me.
If you get something weird, try to set the TZ environment
variable to "Europe/Athens"
LANG=el_GR.UTF-8 is correct. You may also want to set some of
the LC_* environment variables to the same value, e.g.
LC_MESSAGES
