Hi

Arch is occasionally - only occasionally - very slow to start
up. After examining the dmesg log, I see errors like

This suggests a hard drive that should be replaced, but
badblocks reports that there are absolutely zero bad sectors or
other errors on the hard drive. And the fact that the problem
is intermittent also suggests that it may perhaps be a kernel
issue rather than a hard drive issue?

It is not a very critical machine and I have backups.

Do you have some suggestions as to how I should go about dealing
with this? Other commands to test the hard drive? Kernel
parameters? Anything?

Thanks,
Morten
