I don’t have time to investigate, but my sddm is affected too. So 
definitively not LXQt nor KWin, also my Plasma session using Kwin is not 
affected (I use a scaling factor of ×2 there).

So I would say something plain Qt and Xorg related, maybe because Xorg 
changed the way it reports the DPI and Qt behaviour changed because of that.
