Good question. In principle, if you use the standard array (and do not
dual-boot), then the daemon makes sense. However, most people would I
guess replace it by ntp or openntpd. Maybe it should not be in the
standard array though, as the case where accurate time is needed but
ntp is impossible is extremely rare.
