I actually make no guarantees that the patch I posted works well for
initscripts. I use case I had in mind was the shutdown hook in the
initramfs, so that's what I tested. Further improvements on the patch I
sent upstream are probably needed, as:

1) I expect that the behavior on failure is to stop hard, rather than
ignoring the remainder of the children for a given parent
2) I'm not sure how well it plays with the -t flag in light of the above.

The first item might interest me, but the 2nd certainly doesn't. Unless
upstream asks me to make these specific improvements or someone else
offers the code, don't count on this being an exact drop-in replacement.
