actually i'm not good with applying patches from mails. i just edited
the file myself manually and committed.  but your workflow looks ok.

yes. but please send patches to the mailing list.

personally i just build a recent iso once, then i get
aif-experimental-git from AUR, extract it, bring up networking, install
git and makepkg, and make a snapshot in virtualbox.
then everytime i want to play, i load the snapsnot, makepkg and install
the package.

official releases are quite infrequent, you have to use the above
method if you want the latest fixes.

when there are enough fixes in experimental, i do a new release. (this
will happen one or more times before the new iso release)
