Grub can read the ISO (even on LVM) itself, it extracts the kernel and
initramfs, then boots the kernel. But the kernel does not have access to the
ISO file and the boot process fails.
Even loading the ISO with memdisk fails.

Any detail I missed? Well, I can still build a custom initramfs for my
needs...
