It is planned,
but IMO it would be better to hold the adoption of arch=('any') until
we move to new SCM layout
(and this will require massive changes in devtools, so this is the reason).
And AUR backend still doesn't seem to support -arch suffix at all!
So until both of above is implemented/fixed there is not much reason
to massively adopt arch=('any') IMO.
