I only looked briefly at the pkgbuild but on the configure line 
*=${pkgdir}* really stand out as being incorrect in most(if not all) 
cases which would explain why /aur/pkg/usr/bin/besctl contains 
`/aur/pkg` i.e ${pkgdir}

additionally on the sed line, ${exec_prefix} and ${prefix} are undefined 
as far as i can see so it's unlikely to work the way you intend it to.
