Hi,
No, I have not contacted him. On the other hand, this package hasn't been updated for at least 6 months, possibly longer, it still calls for python2 instead of 3. There are some important changes coming in Orca, and I was hoping to make it easier for people to test. I will send him a mail if it is necessary, but I'm 100% sure of the reply if there is one.
