Request #120 has been rejected by arcanis [1]:

The package has a little bit out-of-dated PKGBUILD (for example, it
has not package() function) and has incorrect sources list. If you
will build this package you will get clean 2.49 version of blender.

I'll leave a comment in the package page. I don't see any reason to
remove this package now.
