Renaming this package is certainly an option although potentially confusing for current users (it currently has 87 votes and popularity of 2.96) and perhaps not necessary because 1) users would automatically find the telegram-gui package when searching for telegram, and 2) the description of this package clearly says CLI so that it can not be mistaken for the GUI version.

That said, as the current maintainer I would be ok with renaming this package (as opposed to merging it) if Trusted Users think that this is would be beneficial.
