Request #1962 has been rejected by Muflone [1]:

Instead of trying to get the ownership by filing orphan requests offer
help or the pkgbuild to the actual maintainer to show him how to
properly maintain the package.

As an alternative settle with the maintainer to pass the package
maintenance to you.
