TrialnError [1] filed a deletion request for atom-editor-git-tagged
[2]:

Imo this PKGBuild can be nuked.
If someone wants to build the tagged version of atom there is
atom-editor[5] (or prebuild atom-editor-bin[6]) which are maintained
and up-to-date.
Alternatively atom-editor-git[7] exists.

What this PKGBuild is doing is a middle ground. It clones the repo and
checkouts a specific tag (latest); for a versioned download a massive
overhead (first time repo clone about 280mb; download directly a tag
around 4mb) and for a git pkgbuild not the latest stuff
