Pfff. What does 'rise to the level of a package' mean, please? It is 
quite convenient, it works, it does no harm and it does exactly what the 
description says.
Does something have to be complicated in order to be useful?
If you don't like it just don't use it.
Other people may find it helpful. I use it every day.
