gegenschall [1] filed a request to merge dotnet-cli [2] into dotnet-
host [3]:

I had previously submitted a deletion request, not realizing a merge
request would be better suited. So, let's do this again, but
differently:

Please merge this package with the dotnet-host package. This merging
would be in line with upstream's new naming guidelines as per
https://github.com/dotnet/core-
setup/issues/1599#issuecomment-300270770
