Request #11231 has been accepted by Eschwartz [1]:

I accidentally closed the previous request since I saw the package was
updated, but did not realize the maintainer did not actually fix the
issue. I should have looked more closely, sorry.

Maintainers that just blindly update the pkgver without checking to
see that things work are clearly not doing a good job here.
