Request #10727 has been rejected by Eschwartz [1]:

Changing the pkgbase to something that goes against the usual naming
practices, in order to take over a package from the maintainer via
Trusted User intercession, is not done.

The new pkgbase will be deleted. You can discuss the original pkgbase
with the current maintainer -- I see he has added you as a co-
maintainer anyway so there's no need for this request anyway.
