zu0107 [1] filed a request to merge ttf-d2coding [2] into
ttf-d2coding-git [3]:

If this package is no longer being maintained, I think it is
appropriate to merge with the latest release for font users as the
1.3.1 release has LOTS of improvements including ligature support.
