Request #12909 has been rejected by eschwartz [1]:

Maintainer maintains many packages with recent updates, and there's
nothing wrong with this one.

This combination of factors means I have no idea what you think is a
good reason for an orphan request. Certainly, no one has ever
attempted to communicate with him, what they think is wrong -- except
for an invalid out-of-date flag which he rightly ignored.
