ayekat [1] filed a deletion request for epfl-printers [2]:

Using post_install() and pre_remove() to add/remove printers with
lpadmin assumes that CUPS is running, which cannot be guaranteed
(unfortunately not noticed until the PKGBUILD had already been pushed
to the AUR).
