mortzu [1] filed a deletion request for ioquake3 [2]:

The latest upstream of ioquake3 is from 2009. A lot of stuff doesn't
compile correctly in newer versions of GCC.

I would recommend using the "ioquake3-git" PKGBUILD. There really
aren't any downsides to using it:
