Request #18442 has been rejected by diabonas [1]:

This is a VCS package that tracks the latest master branch and updates
its version automatically during building, so it is out of date only
if changes to the build process are required.

The package currently (as of version 1.8.12.r29.ga1e43ce49) builds
fine, so I see no reason for a deletion. If any changes to the
PKGBUILD are required, feel free to implement them, the package is
orphaned.
