Request #22295 has been rejected by eschwartz [1]:

idk what you're trying to say, but based on the comments I think
you're complaining about the maintainer's decisions with regard to the
arch official repos, not "upstream".

No... upstream project "defaults" isn't a thing, Arch doesn't have
some sort of guideline against enabling optional features
