MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for lib32-libinput [2]:

Orphaned lib32 package.

There are no dependents on AUR.

Seem its 64-bit variant is only needed by some
system components like window managers,
and the qt5/6 runtimes.

Therefore it's safe to conclude this is not
needed in 32-bit on systems running an x86_64
software stack.
