MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for knode [2]:

Orphaned legacy package last updated in 2016.

Build reported failing in 2017 but no one took up
maintenance.

This is a long discontinued newsgroup tool for
KDE4 and Qt4. Not compatible with current KDE
based systems.

Usenet newsgroups are an 1980's technology that
still had substantial user base in the 1990's,
but mainly before the WWW and RSS/Atom newsfeeds.

There is a working, still maintained and developed,
user-friendly but feature-rich newsgroup reader:

Nothing depends on this knode package. Not worth keeping.
