MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for python2-astropy-doc [2]:

I think this Python 2 based build of AstroPy's documentation is
unneded.

Also broken because of the deleted python2-astropy and
python2-scikit-image, also the AUR-based python2-sphinx is
heavily broken, with lots of missing dependencies.

AstroPy itself does no longer support Python 2 after they were forced
to move to Python 3 exclusively, caused by the EOL'ing in 2019 of the
Python 2 bindings for the HDF5 scientific data format binary library.
