MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for python2-google-compute-
engine-git [2]:

This VCS package has become obsoleted by upstream changes.

First, setup.py was moved to different dir on 14 Dec 2018
(commit f773905cc0a70927c7180dd60d939fbf21264c92).

Later, the Python package has been marked deprecated on
29 Apr 2020 (PR#887). It has not received any further updates.

Therefore I suggest deleting this package, as it no longer
can serve its former purpose.
Safe to do so; nothing depends on it.
