Request #32676 has been Rejected by ainola [1]:

Presently, this has no indication of mismanagement: This package still
uses the latest version.

I realize that the project readme mentions to use a fork, but that
fork has no releases, only some git commits.

Unless there's something broken about this package (and the latest
comment seems to suggest it's not), I'd advise first to bug the forked
maintainer to cut a release, and *then* mark this package for
orphanage if the current maintainer does not update the package.
