MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for composer1 [2]:

I suggest deletion of this package.

It has been orphaned. There are no user votes or comments.

It is the old v1 version of Composer, a dependency manager for PHP.

The current version of composer is v2.2.9.
Arch carries it in [extra] repository.

v1.x has been deprecated. V2.2 is a long-term-support release. For
more than 10 years, composer supported PHP 5.3.
Composer 2.3 requires at least PHP 7.2.5.

For anyone needing composer for the 10+ year old PHP 5.3, they can and
should use composer v2.2 LTS.

Safe to delete, because nothing in AUR depends on it, and user
projects should not use this but either v2.3 or v2.2 LTS.
