MarsSeed [1] filed a deletion request for python2-pydeep [2]:

I suggest to delete this deprecated package.

Orphaned, last updated in 2017.
Does not seem to be needed anymore.

'pydeep' source has not been developed for several years
and it seems it is only compatible with old versions
of its mandatory dependency ssdeep v1.10 (Arch version 2.14.1).

There is a maintained fork, 'pydeep2', on PyPI.
That is compatible with at least ssdeep 2.14.

'pydeep2' does not have an Arch or AUR package (yet).
But if such is needed, it should be created as a separate
package ('python-pydeep2' for Python 3).

This Python 2 based deprecated and orphaned 'pydeep' package is
not needed by anything on AUR. Safe to delete it.
