So, overall I really don't like the idea of scripts like this one which 
is why I originally didn't migrate it.  In pretty much every occasion 
there are better options.  And because of this I don't really want to 
take on the responsibility for maintaining it either, so I think I'm 
going not going to merge it for now at least, and if others want it they 
could package it separately.
